Finally, the color purple has elevated itself to the limelight with Pantone naming its Ultra Violet shade the Pantone color of the year!
There are many beliefs behind naming this the color of the year. Ultraviolet is associated with a spirituality and cosmic influence. It also carries with it originality, ingenuity and creative expression.
Now wouldn’t all these reasons be the motivation for choosing Ultra Violet as your wedding color this year?
Who knew the color Ultra Violet conveyed all those amazing attributes?
I certainly didn’t but now I have a great respect for this shade of hue in the purple family of colors! Just imagine using this color with your invitations, flowers, wedding or bridesmaid dresses as well as makeup this year.
For me, it’s kind of fun to add a touch of a vibrant color I have always ignored in the past, but many friends embrace.
On note, it might just be the color I have been missing my life, as I do consider myself a very spiritual person.
So, if you are planning your wedding in a warm weather climate, think of Ultra Violet as a fresh color by adding flowers that reflect that feeling. Tropical orchids, hydrangeas, peonies and roses are just a few that come to mind.
If you are willing to be daring with a brighter shade of purple, verbena, clematis, iris and allium are some excellent choices that come to mind for your wedding flowers and bridal bouquet.
