How do you let your guests know what proper shoes to wear for your wedding day? When and where do you send a hint? This has always been a dilemma for many guests attending off beat weddings such as beach venues, rustic settings, on the farm or a mountain top with dirt and rocks.
As a bride, do you mention it on your invitation as well as on your wedding website? Do you call people? How do you deal with telling your friends what will be the best shoe choices to wear for your ceremony? Yes, you absolutely have to let them know ahead of time them and either resource is fine. There is nothing worse for a guest attending your wedding to show up with the absolutely wrong type of shoe to maneuver what might be a challenging terrain. A shoe like this might be more comfortable a ceremony at the beach or on a grassy farm.
We love wearing heels as they elongate your legs (and ours are both short) as well as making the best entrance when you are all dressed up in black tie or cocktail dresses. However, if the ceremony is walking through fields where animals are usually grazing, a pair of Jimmy Choo’s might not be the best choice. If this is the case or it is another casual venue then add a pair of glamorous heels to your bag in the car or van to slip on when on solid ground for the reception!
I would hate to have one of your guests trip and fall like slipping on a banana! This would be what your guests would remember most about your wedding day!
Let us know what your plan will be to let your guests know. And…come back soon!
