12 Steps to Organizing a Stress-free Marrying Later in Life Wedding

As Modern Mature Brides, we don’t have quite the pressure of planning a wedding as do our younger counterparts. However, setting everything in motion to have a stress free day still is important in the planning process.

We have outlined a few essentials to talk about with Mr. Wonderful to keep the communication and understanding between each other open so that you may both enjoy and cherish the most important day of your life!

Here they are:

  1. Announce the joy of your engagement to families first and then your close friends.
  2. Choose a wedding date.
  3. Select your wedding rings. (If Mr. W. hasn’t already surprised you!)
  4. Decide on a wedding budget.
  5. Decide on your style and look of the wedding. (This goes hand in hand with #4!)
  6. Compile a guest list.
  7. Reserve the wedding venue.
  8. Choose who will be a part of your wedding party for the ceremony.
  9. Register for gifts or donations to a favorite charity.
  10. Decide on your dress style and make appointments with bridal shops or designers.
  11. Order save the date, invitations, thank you notes and personal stationery.
  12. Select ancillary services needed: food, flowers, entertainment, photographer, videographer, gifts and transportation, and your honeymoon plans!

Most of all…Have fun with the process!
